Desmond Zammit Marmara`s Article.
I just felt I needed to comment about Desmond Zammit Marmara`s Article.
His Amount of Long-term memory & Logic has baffled me into thinking that he bumped his head against the wall and got amnesia and I shall prove my point.
Quote: "While everybody is preoccupied with the state the country is in, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi continues to insult our intelligence with his positive assessment of the situation prevailing within the country at present.."
The situation in Malta is Positive, But its not negative either. There is a huge deficit, i must admit, but his hero Dr Sant failed to solve it when he was in power for (sigh) 12 months (I think) thus disproving his point that Dr Sant is a great leader (laughs).
If Mr Zammit Marmara is not happy that Dr Gonzi is insulting our intelligence, than why is he saying that Mother of all people who insulted the Nations Intelligence is a great leader? Dr Gonzi Should be an Ok leader if that is indeed his point.
To Prove 2 of my points, Mr Zammit Marmara has forgotten the infamous Referendum Incident, where Dr Sant Knowingly through his "propoganda" television station Super 1 , hoodwinked half the "no" voters (probably illiterates) that 43% is bigger than 57% and sent an "army" of his followers to "combat" the PN carcades.
A Great leader indeed, he managed to Insult our intelligence, once again, confusing some and some others basically got the message of How "great" the MLP leader really is.
And what does Zammit Marmara know about economics anyway, does he know that once a nation lives better off theres that chunk of people (factory works, uneducated people) thats going to live worse. Highering the Mininum wage was a breath of fresh air to some, but it also affected factories that closed down and made competitivity for investment from international companies suffer.
Are you saying that Dr Sant, leader of the labourers is going to come into power and lower the minimum wage, to increase investment? Oh the Maltese labour nation is in for a shock then.
More Jobs, less money. I can imagine the look of one of Dr Sants most Loyal voter, a factory worker earning a mere 50c an hour, but i bet you he'll remain as loyal as a dog remains to his owner and that is how great Dr Sant is.
My only reason of understanding how loyal his voters are is, because due to their lack of education they look at politics as a game of football.
Its the "You Change sides, You're a "Pinnur" or a Traitor" mentality(a bit stalinistic I know). I side with a football team, but if my football team loses all the matches I'm not going to change them for nothing and that in my opinion is the voters greatest mistake, comparing politics to football. (Comparing a nations welfare to entertainment).
When MLP will go into power and I say very soon, because PN I admit are getting arrogant, everyone will know what they were missing and remember what the MLP is really about. I'll probably vote for the Green Party, because theres nobody better to vote for, unfortunately.
Graham Crocker.
